What is the terminology for laser scanners?

Response time: the time difference between the change in distance to the detected target object and the change in data output, which is proportional to the scanning frequency and inversely proportional to the angular resolution.
Spot diameter: the diameter of a single light-emitting point. The diameter of the light spot is proportional to the measurement distance.
Spot spacing: the distance between the centres of two adjacent spots. The distance between the centres of two adjacent points is directly proportional to the measurement distance; at the same time, the greater the angular resolution, the greater the distance between the points.
Spot Diameter: The relationship between the spot spacing and the angular resolution Measurement distance. Spot diameter, the spot pitch increases with the measurement distance; the higher the angular resolution, the smaller the spot pitch.
Minimum object size: the smallest size of the object that can be measured by the laser measurement system. The smallest object size is proportional to the measuring distance; at the same time, the smallest object size﹥diameter+spacing.
IP rating: IP rating refers to the level of waterproof and dustproof, IP protection level is composed of two numbers, the first number indicates the level of dustproof, preventing the intrusion of foreign objects; the second number indicates the degree of moisture, waterproof intrusion of the degree of airtightness. For outdoor applications, products with IP67 protection must be used to ensure that product performance and products are not damaged by the harsh environment.
Fog correction function: For outdoor applications, the product is internally processed with special algorithms to avoid the influence of fog on the accuracy and interference of the product.
Laser Class: According to DIN EN 60825-1IEC 825-1, laser class 1 is non-hazardous to human beings, and laser class 2 is hazardous, and human eyes should not look directly at it for a long time.
Internal integrated heater: For outdoor applications where the temperature is below freezing, the internal integrated heater type scanner automatically activates the internal heater when the ambient temperature is below freezing to raise the internal temperature of the scanner above freezing to ensure that the internal motor rotates normally. For applications with temperatures below freezing, either the internal integrated heater type or an external optional heater must be used to ensure normal operation.
